Arav Fashion was founded in 2002 with the Silvian Heach project: an easy-to-wear easy-to-understand women’s fashion brand that was the result of the clear and ambitious idea that was shared by the two founding partners, Mena Marano and Giuseppe Ammaturo.
The company was a commercial success right from the first year of operation, and this laid the foundations for the expansion of the main Silvian Heach brand through a massive franchising retail-development plan in Italy and abroad. Silvian Heach Kids started up in 2009 as a childrenswear line for kids from 1 month to 16 years, and is the result of a special collaboration with Pietro Oliva. In March 2011, Silvian Heach Kids Srl changed its name officially to Arav Kids Spa.
In September 2011, Arav Fashion launched a complex multi-platform web project covering the whole brand portfolio: website, e-commerce, and social networking (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube). At the International Pitti Bimbo Fair in Florence in January 2012, the Aston Martin babywear collection was officially presented: an exclusive project for boys from 1 month to 16 years, under licence from the British carmaker.
Today, just a little more than 10 years after it started, the Arav Group is aiming to consolidate its market position in womenswear and childrenswear, as well as increase its presence abroad so that domestic and foreign sales will be more or less the same by 2017.
